This project involved a steep lake bank that was cleared of invasive trees, making it vulnerable to extreme soil erosion. Our proposal was to stabilize the bank with native grasses and rhizomotous native wildflowers. Switchgrass was used at the steepest areas. Other species were used based on their functionality and wetland status and included: Indiangrass, Eastern gamagrass, Silver Plumegrass, Purple Bluestem, Chalky Bluestem, Swamp Sunflower, Rayless Sunflower and Common Sneezeweed.
